In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press Computer Won't Turn On I closed it down and re-started it to see if it worked. but this solution also does not work... I have a asus k53s model and less than a year ago the charger stopes working. One more sympton: closing the lid doesn't do anything, the same lights are on. Enter nomodeset as shown, and press Ctrl+X to boot to where you can successfully install your graphics drivers. It's a standard laptop DIMM upgrade. 2 screws. 2 side snaps.
